The last little oasis with water and our last refill point until we reached our campsite at Summit Lake. Not much more than a trickle, we were lucky to find it. We passed several other hikers going in the opposite direction who had missed it and were low on water themselves.
I did not remove my water bladder from the pack to back-fill it. I attached my water filter to the drinking tube and used my small water bottle (16oz Crystal Geyser) to squeeze water into the bladder. Very efficient as I did not have to partially unpack the pack to remove the bladder for refill.
After testing several brands of disposable bottles I fount that the Crystal Geyser bottle is one that will attach to the Sawyer Squeeze Filter proprietary threads and work without leaking at the connection point.
