Chapel reflected

When the high tide and sunset time coincide all you need is the weather to play ball.

For most of the day the sun periodically broke through the cloud layer but in the afternoon it completely clouded over much to my disappointment, being forever hopeful I kept an eye on the sky and went for it.

This was not the first shot I took there are still more to come but this is one of my favorites of the evening. I wanted a long exposure to try to smooth out the already rather still water but with the tide still moving upriver it brought with it all sorts debris and floating weed. Then came a guy on a sup but he did not show up in the exposure that was running at the time.

The sky did it for me right up until nearly ten pm when I finally put my camera back in it`s bag and headed for home, a thirty second exposure on this shot though I cannot remember if this was little or big stopper but those reflections were just doing it for me.

Lancing college Chapel in all it`s splendor has long been a draw for me, i`ll be back in a few weeks time, after the summer Solstice to catch the setting sun as it sets over the the Chapel.
