Source of all blessings, you bless us with moments in which nothing happens---moments of staring into the slowly-burning-down fire, moments in the checkout line or the waiting room. May I not fail to expand into that wide-open expanse of emptiness and pass on this blessing of a wideness more powerful than all the anxiety in the world.
