Memories of Mie & Nagoya, Japan

This is our set of memories of our backpacking adventure to Mie prefecture and Nagoya city in Japan (Oct. 14 to Oct. 22, '07). We were fortunate in three important ways:

1) In witnessing the spectacular Kanname Festival [神嘗蔡] in Ise City on Oct. 15th;
2) In enjoying the various sights & sounds of natural & ancient Japan with the modern day amendities & convienance and
2) In having two very able & comprehensive guides to lead us through the Japanese hinterlands - Byron & Maggie.

Many thanks to the local people who spent enormous amount of time & effort for us - gaijin - to understand the tight schedules of the JR system as well as to highlight the country trails.
