Batman (Terry McGinnis) VS Spiderman (Peter Parker)
Present day New York City…
A pterodactyl flies over Midtown causing panic throughout the city. One of its wings clips the tail of a news helicopter, causing the chopper to begin a spin towards the ground.
About 10 feet before impact, the chopper is stopped by a… Web! Spiderman has arrived and begins to bait the wounded and angry creature towards him. Within minutes, the pterodactyl is wrapped in a cocoon of webbing, shrieking loudly.
“That’s enough out of you Polly!” Spidey says, wrapping its beak in the web. “Let’s use our indoor voice now.”
As the police arrive, Spiderman swings off. In his third swing, he notices a portal open. Too late to act, he is sucked into it….
Meanwhile, in Gotham City. Only, about 50 years in the future…
A woman clutches her 3 year old daughter, running in terror from a deinonychus. She trips over a rock and falls. She watches the beats get ready to pounce, expecting the worst….
The creature is stopped by a shadowy red-black blur that slams it into a wall. As it steadies itself to take on the new threat, it is rendered unconscious by a tranquilizer tipped bat-arang. Terry McGinnis, or Batman as he is now known, examines the situation in the playground around him. Three other Deinonychus begin moving in his direction.
“This brings playground bullying to a new level,” Terry mutters, seemingly to no one.
“Deal with it,” Bruce Wayne replies over Terry’s headset, “As long as they are focused on you, the civilians are safe.”
Batman scoffs, “Easy for you to say. While you’re sitting in front of a computer, sipping…”
Terry is suddenly yanked into a portal, along with the remaining dinosaurs…
100 million years ago…
Another portal opens and Batman drops into a field, surrounded by dinosaurs and volcanoes. He stands and speaks out loud, “Bruce, its Terry. Can you hear me?”
Spiderman lands on his feet behind Batman.
“Whoa…” He scratches his head in confusion, “I think I may have taken the wrong subway.”
Spiderman hears a voice and turns around. He notices a man in a futuristic Bat-like suit. Concluding that someone with that kind of technology must be behind this, he confronts him.
“Hey buddy!” He yells. Terry whips around surprised, “You mind sending me back? I got a city to protect!”
Batman steadies himself, “Believe me, pal. Your city is not priority one to me…”
Of course, like all crossovers they will eventually work together. But for now, it’s the Terry McGinnis Batman vs. Peter Parker as Spiderman.
Both are eighteen and in their early years of being a hero. Plus, its in the dinosaur age so no one gets home court advantage.
