Miniature guitar made from scratch (2)

The miniature guitar was a day-and-a-half project. On the left is the finished guitar with one of my skeleton jiggler figures. His sensitive playing in the Skull Boyz band will come in handy soon. The band plays jazz, blues, folk and gospel. Badass!

On the right is the guitar by itself. The tuning pegs are cut-off sewing pins. I used a hobby drill to drill the necessary holes in the headstock. The nut is a small bent piece of brass, mainly to keep the strings aligned and keep them from falling off the neck.

The fret markers are silver paper. The bridge was made of a small piece of plastic from a MacBook tray. I stabbed 6 holes in it with a needle and ran 3 pieces of good quality sewing thread through it. Then I tied the knots at the tuning pegs. I stiffened the strings with a few coats of clear sealer.

The guitar strap is leather, with a doll buckle in it. It's mounted to the guitar using standard jewelry parts, like eye pins and O rings.
