Michigan Volcanic
A fiery sunset beyond Lake Michigan's shelf at its zenith
Would've loved to have stayed here well past sunset but ended up in the stream about ten minutes after this shot. Left my setup to grab a bazooka from my pack and a powerful gust of wind knocked my set up over. After rushing over to check for damages (everything was fine), I saw my mitten floating in the water along the far bank. Thought I could leap in and grab it while getting only one leg wet, but punched though on the push-off and tumbled in. Had no choice but to pack up posthaste and hustle back to the truck. Drove home wearing only underwear and house slippers.
I was met with curiosity on the return home.
