Elliot Falls, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
When I arrived here last April there was a large branch laying in the wash. I thought someone left their walking stick and began to shoot it as I found it. Not long after, a couple other branches shot out from the falls onto the sandstone and I realized the forest was doing a little spring cleaning via this small stream feeding Superior. I cannot recall ever "tweaking" a landscape for a photograph, but in this instance I felt compelled to remove them. I had driven a ways to get here and wanted a couple shots without any clutter on what is otherwise an absolutely pristine shoreline.
