Not long ago I mentioned I had sent my camera into Nikon for repair and once I had it back I would describe the experience in hopes that it may help someone who has to do the same. Luckily, I experienced none of the problems, or frustrations that I thought were in the realm of possibility - it actually went better than I could of hoped. I was impressed with how well informed Nikon kept me via e-mail, and the two times that I called into to speak with a customer service representative I found them to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. After having been through a complete evaluation and repair my camera was returned to me in half the time I was expecting, and the sensor was even given a professional cleaning. So, at least in my experience Nikon really did a fantastic job. One thing I would recommend anyone sending a camera, or lens in for repair to do is to try to work with the same representative throughout the repair. Feeling grateful to Nikon and excited about getting back behind my camera.
