Echinacea pallida is a fast growing, erect perennial. Ideal plant for low maintenance gardens. Profuse mahogany, conical-centered flowers with narrow, pendulous, pink, rose, or white petals, 4 to 6 inches wide, atop hairy stems. This perennial blooms all summer and into fall. Leaves are 8 inches long, linear to lance-shaped to elliptic. Superb in the perennial or mixed border. Good cut flower. May be divided in spring or fall. Native of Central U.S. Plant in full sun; requires average soil.
