Ford D-Series TV Production Lorry
A British built Ford D-710 7.5-ton rigid lorry, spotted in Ryedale, North Yorkshire, U.K. This particular Ford is a very rare surviving example of an ex-Carlton Television production lorry, known as an ‘Outside Broadcasting Unit’, still with authentic ‘Carlton’ logo + signage. The truck would’ve carried film + TV crew equipment to filming locations and news reporting back in the day.
What is odd, is that this “A” registration shows up on the DVLA archive as a 1984 vehicle, whereas the original Ford D-Series officially ended production in 1981, making way for the Ford Cargo.
