1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-Door Sedan [2403] “XSV 179” (1)
Rear-quarter nearside view of a beautiful 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-Door, 6-Passenger Sedan, model code/ID [2403], one of 264,449 examples built and sold for the 1957 model year. This car - complete with age-related, six-character registration “XSV 179” includes the optional “Turbo-Fire” 283-CID V8 engine and automatic transmission - possibly a “PowerGlide” 2-Spd. The paint has received a retouch, albeit still a period-correct shade of “Surf Green”, W/ Kustom Metal Flake roof. A truly beautiful example which looked even nicer close-up in person. The car has a friendly and enthusiastic owner.
The ‘57 Chevy is a hugely iconic American car, being one of the famous ‘55-‘57 “Tri-Fives”.
