1989 Mercedes-Benz 420 SEC [C126] Auto “G286 TTV”
A very clean big German V8 coupe; quite a rare RHD U.K.-spec export example painted in “Mercedes-Benz Arctic White”. This example contains the 4.2-litre, 4,1196-CC, 256-CID “M116” -series V8 engine plus a Mercedes “4G-Tronic” 4-speed automatic transmission, 18” AMG alloy wheels and a “Pure Highway” digital radio. The car received some restoration/reconditioning work in 2016. The vehicle registration – “G286 TTV” is a Nottingham-area registration from August 1989 (with what looks to be a later-fitted plastic plate).
This car was spotted just down the lane outside the famous Mathewson’s classic car auction and sales showroom, Pickering, Ryedale, North Yorkshire, U.K., October 2021.
