Wannabe bolt from the blue
Another favorite capture from the night on Nov. 10-11. A "wannabe" bolt from blue during the thunderstorms between E. Attica and Evia isl.
Notice, again, the corona discharge with its distinct blue/purple color at the edges of the bolt. These purple filaments/streamers are created due to high values of the electric field (high enough to ionize air molecules, mostly nitrogen).
The moon can be seen on the left side. Orion prevails on the top right side.
For this one, I've used a Sigma Art 20 mm lens, f/1.4 @ f/5.6 for 10'' with iso 500.
