Sprites and a halo (part II)
More than 30 TLEs were observed during the early morning of Mar. 28, 2023 over thunderstorms extending from Lesvos isl. up to SW Black Sea. My observation spot was at E. Attica, Greece. This was another double event with big sprites and a halo (the relatively faint red disk on top right side from the sprites). Parent lightning flash seen below, behind the mountains of S. Evia isl.
TLEs (like red sprites) appear, under specific circumstances, above thunderstorms (e.g. red sprites appear at altitudes of 40-90 km).
I've used a Sigma 85 mm lens at f/1.4, for 1/25'' with 51.2k iso.
