+ Captured on 14 Mar 2005, a typical warm humid and foggy Spring morning at the Mudflat of Deep Bay, Hong Kong . Departure occurred the next day!
++ Dalmatian Pelicans used to visit Deep Bay in winter. Unfortunately, they no longer show up in Hong Kong as they suffer population decline in recent years, and it was last recorded in winter 2009/10. Currently there are around 150 Dalmatian Pelican individuals in East Asia. They breed in Mongolia and spend the winter in eastern and southern China.
