Chitral students kicked campaign for establishment of BISE.
CHITRAL: Chitral student’s united federation announced for launching
movement for establishment of Board of Intermediate and Secondary
Education (BISE) at Chitral. Talking to local journalists Zakiruddin,
Wisar Ahmad, Imtiaz Ali, Tanveer and other leaders of Chitral united
students federation condemned announcement of opening of regional
(camp) office by provincial minister of population Saleem Khan. They
said that a camp office already existing here in Chitral but there is
no benefit of this camp office to local students. They termed it
exploitation of Chitral students rights and announced to kick an
active campaign (movement) until establishment a separate BISE at
Chitral. Cabinet members of Chitral students united federation said
that they had already meet Chief Minister Kkhyber Pahtonkhwa Amir
Haider Khan Hoti during his visit to Chitral and had briefed him that
every year more than 25000 students appearing in inter level
examination at Peshawar board which is hundred of miles away from
Chitral. And they pay 60 million rupees to BISE Peshawar yearly for
annual examinations of four classes and provisional examination of two
classes. They said that due to none existing of Chitral board every
year 20 students of Top twenty depriving from scholarship and awards
of 250000 (each) every year. They said that even a class four or a
junior clerk was not appointed at Peshawar board from Chitral in last
42 years. Chitral students united federation said that the whole
province was under BISE Peshawar until 1969 but after that due to
increasing in population provincial government established D.I. Khan,
Bannu, Kohat, Abbotabad, Mardan, Swat and Malakand Chakdara boards but
no board was announced for Chitral. They appeal to Chief Minister and
Education minister KP for early establishment of BISE at Chitral
because thousands of male and female students facing great hardships
in winter season after blocking of all roads due to heavy snowfall.
Chitrali girl killed at Rabbat (Dir).
CHITRAL: A Chitrali girl married at Rabbat (Dir upper) was killed by
her in laws. Dead body of the girl was carried to Chitral for autopsy
and burial. According to detail a Chitral girl Khoshnoor Bibi
resident of Brooze who has married to Farid Khan at Rabbat Dir a few
years back. Hence her husband was serving abroad. Abdul Murad father
of deceased Khoshnoor told this scribe that Farid Khan was sending
money regularly to her account but Raqeeb Khan brother of Farid Khan
stressing to send the money in his personal account and he tortured my
daughter and killed her. As a result she died on the spot, her dead
body was carried to District Headquarters Hospital Chitral for
postpartum (autopsy) A 6 year’s small child Saifuddin son of
deceased Khoshnoor was weeping at hospital and telling detail of
torturing over his mother by his uncle Raqeeb Khan. Khosnoor left one
son and a daughter. Earlier that she had married to Nazir Khan son of
Jalil Khan of Kaiso Chitral but she separated from her husband after
the birth of her son Saifuddin and re-married to Farid Khan at
Rabbat by a local tout. Members of Dawati Azeemat and human rights
Chitral carrying banners in hospital and roads were protesting against
killing of Chitrali girl. Shabir Ahmad vice president of Dawati
Azeemat and Abdul Nasir president of Legal Aid Forum for Human Rights
Chitral strongly condemned killing of Khoshnoor Bibi and demanded for
conducting Judicial inquiry in this regard so as to given exemplary
punishment to her killers. Chitral police initiated investigations to
ascertain real reasons behind her murder and a report will be
registered on receiving of postpartum report by Doctor.
Meanwhile a thanks given day was celebrated at Commerce College Hall
Chitral. Provincial Minister for population welfare Saleem Khan was
chief guest while the ceremony was presided over by Member Provincial
Assembly Haji Ghulam Muhammad. The function was arranged by district
administration to pay rich tribute to Justice Ajaz Afzal Chief
Justice Peshawar High Court on announcing of Circuit Bench at Chitral
and to Amir Haider Khan Hoti Chief Minister Khyber Pahtoonkhwa on
releasing fund for Khan Abdul Wali Khan By pass road and other mega
projects at Chitral. A large number of people belonging to all walks
of life participated in thanks giving day.
