5th Jishni Dadkhandori Drosh Cricket Tournament 2010 concluded.

Saidq Eleven defeated young star cricket team.

 

CHITRAL: Fifth Jishni (festival) Dadkhandori Drosh Cricket Tournament

2010 ended at polo ground Drosh. The sports events had kicked on 5th

November 2010 where 40 crickets Teams participated in the tournament.

The tournament was organized by Dadkhandori Sports Club and Welfare

Society Drosh. The final match was contested between Young Star

Cricket Team and Sadiq Eleven Cricket Team Potenandeh Drosh in which

Saidq Eleven defeated its rival team of Young Star cricket Team with 6

wickets. Bating first Young star given the target of 128 runs in 15

over. Sadiq Eleven team achieved the target in 14 Over with a loss of

6 wickets and declared Winner team of the tournament. Former President

of Pakistan Peoples Party Tehsil Drosh Javed Akhtar was chief guest on

the occasion who distributed trophy, Cup and awards among the players.

Addressing on the occasion Javed Akhtar said that our players are

playing here in polo ground of Chitral Scouts Drosh because there is

neither public stadium nor any play ground for our youth of Drosh. He

hailed services of Dadkhandori sports club and Welfare Society who

provide such opportunities of entertainment, promoting of sports and

engaging the young generation in positives activities as well boosting

hidden skills of youth. He demanded for establishment of a public

stadium at Drosh as well as play grounds in different parts of this

overcrowded Tehsil. He announced rupees 8000 for organizing committee,

3000 for winner team, 2000 for runner up team and 1500 for APP

correspondent G.H. Farooqi who always play visit to this remote area

for coverage on volunteer basis. They also awarded special prize to

Mr. Farooqi of APP. A large number of spectators both from young

generation and aged people were present on the occasion.

 

Namosi Risalat Rally held at Drosh.

 

CHITRAL: A rally comprising over hundred of people were held here at

Drosh some 45 KM from here leading by Qari Jamal Nasir Convener of

Namosi Risalat Council Drosh. The rally was converted in a public

meeting later on. Different personalities delivered speeches to the

public meeting (gathering.). The public meeting was presided over by

Maulana Musharaf Khan Khateeb Jamia Masjid Bilal Drosh. Through a

unanimous resolution they demanded for existing and supporting of

Section 295/C in the constitution and warned any amendment in this

blasphemy law and stressed upon giving of death sentence to those who

committed of blasphemy. They announced of their fully support of this

act. They also demanded for declaring 2010 as year of Namosi Rislat

year. They announced of their fully support of Muslims all over the

country who have kicked movement for protection of Blasphemy law and

declared that public meetings and rally would be held in big towns of

Chitral as well as Seerat Conferences would be held in all Mosques

(Masajid) of Chitral to highlight characters of the Holy Prophet

(PBUH).

 

They also demanded for giving death sentence to Christian woman Asia

Bibi who committed of blasphemy and misconduct in honor of the Holy

Prophet. Those who spoke on the occasion were Al-Haj Khurshid Ali,

Fazle Rashid, Abid Jan of ANP, Sher Jawan of PPP, Maulana Israruddin

Al-Hilal, Maulana Inamul Haq, Qari Jamal Abdul Nasir Convener Seerat

Conference and Maulana Mushraf Khan who was presiding over the public

meeting. A large number of people belongs to all walk of life attended

the public meeting which was held on main Peshawar Chitral road for

hours. At last Qari Jamal Nasir congratulated the public regarding of

conversion to Islam of a Christian couple.
