2 Days International workshop on Strengthening

Culture, of Responsibility Dueal use research

and Bio-security was organized by SBBU.

CHITRAL: Two days international workshop on strengthening the Culture of Responsibility

dual use research and Bio-Security was held at Auditorium of Abdul Wali Khan University

Chitral Campus. The workshop was organized by Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University

SBBU Shringal and Chitral Campus in collaboration with Quaide Azam University

Islamabad which was sponsored by Pakistan Academy of Science and Higher

Education Commission Islamabad.

Miss Fauzia Bibi member Provincial Assembly (MPA) KPK was chief guest on the

occasion while the ceremony was presided over by Professor Doctor Khan Bahar Marwat Vice chancellor of SBBU. Students

were sensitized about different leaning method and enhancement culture of

responsibility and bio security as well as adopting security measurement in their

research work..

Pakistan Academy of science, Professor Dr. Zabita Khan Shenwari Chairman Department of Bio-technology Quaide Azam University and other intellectual

spoke on the occasion. They said that some three species of medicinal plants

from Chitral have been recognized on international level. They stressed on

students that they are heroes and architect of future and should follow concept

of nongovernmental individual. If every Pakistani play vital role with honesty

in development of country we will never dependent upon foreign loans.

Students were divided in 4 groups for group

working and they were given different task for preparation of presentation like

mental and mentality relationship, infectious diseases, Access and Benefit sharing,

collaborative sciences.

Professor Dr. Mushtaq Ahamd presented his

paper on learning mechanism and different aspects of research work. Professor Dr. Bilal briefed the students and

stakeholders about plagiarism, fabrication and falsification and guided the

students how can they avoid from these practices in their research work and practical life. . He said that during the research work

students must to follow bio-safety and bio-security measurement because one of

a scientist was died during research wok

in Laboratory at USA.

Addressing on the occasion Professor Dr.

Khan Bahar said that another sub campus of SBBU will be open in Chitral with

the cost of 500 million

Miss Fauzia Bibi assured vice chancellor and

students for fully support by KPK Government for sub campus as well as a full

fledge university at Chitral. She stressed upon the university administration

to conduct training workshop on these titles in future which is more beneficial

rather than workshop. Students of three universities while talking to this

scribe said that they learn more regarding latest research from this international

workshop. A large number of students,

teachers and people belonging to all walk of life attended the workshop.
