Göran Hälsinges gränd.

The alley is named after Göran Hälsinge, who owned a house here in the 16th century.

He was the son of Nils Hälsinge and Appolonia Larsdotter. Appolonia Larsdotter was the breast feeder of King Erik XIV.

During part of the 16th century, the alley was called Niels Helsingz grend (1548) and probably also Helsingz grend (1553).

The alley runs between Västerlånggatan and Stora Nygatan.

Fredman's Epistle 31 suggests that prostitutes were located here in the 18th century
