Venison stew...
...had too much meat in the freezer and had to do something nice since we were expecting guests.
Decided to cook venison stew since it's healthy and does not take that much time.
For veggies I picked chives, onions and carrots.
The latter in a variety of colors including purple carrots. The carrots mixed together gave it all a brownish tone, much in line with the stew itself.
Even the strong, rough mustard was brown.
I have never, ever cooked a meal that looked as boring, tasteless and dull.
Some kinda 1970s cooking.
But it tasted good. Really good actually.
Much to my surprise.
