Dead calm.

Dead calm on the surface.

 

So calm, so silent.

 

No boats, no ships, no nothing.

 

Just badgers lurking in the dark, behind me.

 

I am armed, but that does not calm me down much.

 

Those creatures are mad and dangerous.

 

Both dogs are behind me, their backs towards me, staring silently into the unknown darkness....
