St Michael's Institution, Ipoh

St Michael's Institution, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia

A group of Catholic missionaries arrived in Ipoh in 1912 and began building the school next to the famous Kinta River. They erected a huge school building with unique French structural design.

When WW II broke out, the school was used by the Japanese secret police as their headquarters. After the war, St Michael's Institution served as a public school again.
