#TVPollTax As the Londoner has long predicted, BBC Trust chairman Chris Patten now finds himself in a firefight over the Pollard Review. The trust published a press release yesterday outlining why Nick Pollard, who chaired the £3 million inquiry into the Jimmy Savile scandal, excluded key evidence from the BBC’s former head of news Helen Boaden. “The trust’s statement is a cynically-timed attempt to kill a growing story and cover Lord Patten’s back,” claims Tory MP Rob Wilson.
