Church of St.Helena, Lundy Island. 3 August 2011

Lundy Island, in the Bristol Channel some 10 miles off the North Devon coast, is 3 miles long and ½ mile wide. It is owned by the National Trust.

Lundy is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Special Area of Conservation, a Statutory Marine Nature Reserve and the UK's only No Take Zone (which prohibits fishing).

The Church, built in 1896 has 10 bells and is popular with visiting bell ringers - which is why we were there.
