Bromyard Station with 4555 running round. 13 June 1964

This is a typical GWR small station. Notice the profusion of lupins on the right-hand platform, a sure sign of pigeon traffic. Today the only clue to a railway having existed is in the name 'Station Road'. Somehow the 1950s/1960s seem better rendered in monochrome, but I suppose that this is because the vast majority of books and magazines of the time had very little colour print. How does the younger generation of Railway Photographers react to this?
