High Askew - Bents Lane
This the cattle Grid on Bents Lane leading to High Askew Farm from Lower Askew near Cropton on the North Yorkshire Moors. The vegetation on the left is moorland heather which blooms a beautiful purple in August
There is little history available about the farm but Browns bridge near the farm collapsed in 2013 dropping two men into the water. They were taken to hospital by the Great North Air Ambulance.
From here there are good walking paths to Rosedale Abbey, Spaunton or Lastingham
