Get your trousers on you're nicked!

I attended an open day at Chichester Police Station on Saturday 17th July 2017 knowing that Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd would have a Ghost Series II ''Black Badge'' on display in full Police livery! It must be said that the Ghost looks really imposing in the Police livery! complete with West Sussex decals. After the event the Ghost returned to Goodwood the home of Rolls-Royce and had the Police livery removed and became part of the Rolls-Royce press car fleet. Black Badge was introduced in March 2016 and is a permanent bespoke family of Rolls-Royce cars covering Dawn, Ghost and Wraith.

I guess Jack Regan would give up the comfort of his Ford Consul GT to be chauffeured about by Bill in this Ghost. For those of an age who have not got a clue what I am talking about, The Sweeney was the best Detective series ever shown on British Television 1975-1978. It was produced by Euston Films Ltd (a subsidiary of Thames Television Ltd) for ITV. The Sweeney made stars of the late John Thaw (Jack Regan) and Dennis Waterman (George Carter) and not forgetting the bronze Ford Consul GT registration NHK 285M which appeared in the first three series, and in the forth and final series a bronze Mk1 Ford Granada was used in the first six episodes and the remaining episodes featured a silver Mk2 Ford Granada.
