Grant Palmer Selection
A selection of the early Grant Palmer fleet is seen here at Kensworth in February 2002. Leyland Olympian / ECW OFS 669Y had been acquired from Lothian and still carried their colours, it was later repainted into school bus yellow and survived until September 2009 when it donated it's engine to sister vehicle OFS 677Y that had been acquired from Marbill Coaches of Beith. Olympian / Alexander YSO 38Y had been new to Bluebird and had latterly operated for a Stagecoach company in Essex (judging by the adverts on the front) and still retained their colour scheme, that had a shorter lifespan, being scrapped after a seized engine in 2005 (whilst I was driving it!). Palmer's original Ford Escort service van - J983 NTM is also seen in the foreground.
