Grant Palmer H390OHK Interior
A view inside Grant Palmer's ex-Thamesway Mercedes 709 / Reeve Burgess H390 OHK shows the smart 'mini-coach' conversions completed by dealer Houston Ramm of Rochdale in the early 2000's including belted, high backed mini-coach seats and luggage racks. First Group had a very strict disposals policy at this time and the vehicles were sold on to dealers on the strict agreement that they would not be sold on as buses. However, although they were given these smart conversions, many saw further use as buses including the two acquired by Palmer in 2002 for Service 202. Latterly in early 2004, as Houston Ramm hit financial trouble, some ex-First vehicles were sold on without being converted, including Palmer's L811 SAE which survived as a bus seated example.
H390 OHK and H327 LJN were sold to Stafford Bus Centre in 2007 and were believed to have been exported.
