Sundown at Sandown
SWR Class 483 483008 is seen here arriving at Sandown with a train for Ryde Pier Head at dusk on 10th October 2018. The Class 483's usually run with three front headlights, the spacing of these being a direct throwback to the five headcode lights the units carried when operating on London Transport.
The station building at Sandown is now home to a successful venture known as 'The Gaslight Cafe' with regular music and theme evenings - the station still retains a bookstall and toilet facilities although I believe these are now run / maintained by the cafe owners.
