Guard in action!
The vintage ex-London Underground units on the Isle of Wight are still crew operated in the traditional manner - a sight not seen on Underground trains since the withdrawal of the Northern Line 1959 Stock in January 2000. Here is John, the guard of Class 483 483 008 is seen here performing his regular duties on a Shanklin bound train at Ryde Esplanade on 15th April 2017.
