Change In Season

I took this picture last week as I was walking across the street to the Abbey. It shows the beautiful colors of the leaves as the seasons change. In this picture we see plenty of organic matter around the bushes and trees. Organic Matter is material from anything that once lived including plants, animals, and microbes. Within the soil that is under neath the bushes trees, decomposition occurs. Decomposition is the breakdown of plant derived material into its simpler organic constituents. It is very important for plants and trees to be decomposed as it keeps them healthy as well as the other plants and animals within there environment. #Image3
