Tengu ("heavenly dog") are a type of legendary creature found in Japanese folk religion and are also Buddhism long held that the tengu were disruptive demons and harbingers of war. Their image gradually softened, however, into one of protective, if still dangerous, spirits of the mountains and forests. Tengu are associated with the ascetic practice of Shugendō, and they are usually depicted in the garb of its followers, the yamabushi. considered a type of Shinto god (kami) or yōkai
So far so good. If you want to know more about this amazing and fascinating creatures there are lot´s of informations, storys and books out there. One of my favorites in the japanese folklore so I had to show you my version of it which I´m playing as a roleplay character at the moment. :3
One of my friends said this pic looks like the beginning of a bossfight in a game but not out of SL...now when I´m looking at it I must say..hell yeah he is right o_o Wohooooo ヾ(^ ^ゞ I´m a epic endboss....come and raid me （ ´∀｀）
