Once you have folded/wrestled the carpet away from the seat mouldings you will see where the cable exits the interior of the car. A rubber sealing grommet holds tight to the cable and the access hole in the chassis. Push the cable and grommet outwards to the underneath of the car to allow the cable to be totally extracted from the inside of the vehicle. ( This pic shows the cable for the driverside as i had already pushed the cable i was working on, free of the car before taking the picture..
