Nicknamed "Old Reliable," this engine was in service for forty-two years. The Shell Oil fire of 1949, John Muir School fire of 1953 and the Armarco fire are all on its resume. The last response was to an alarm in 1965 and was retired from active service in 1968. The engine resides at Station 14, Martinez CA.
