Ladywell sheltered accommodation at the junction of Commercial Street/Richmond Road. Built in the 1990s on the site of houses and shops (the Gas Board shop was at the bottom end when I was a child). Perhaps a little insensitively, opposite these retirement flats, Cooperative Funeral Services have opened up in the former Lloyd’s Bank premises.
