Hafren Road, Upper Cwmbran, Cwmbran, 6 February 2016
Once upon a time, buses ran in both directions, hence a bus shelter on the other side of the road (so why not on the left?). For at least ten years, they have used a circuit, so buses only pull in at stops on the left side of the road. Thus, on a day like this, in torrential rain, people wait for buses in the open while there is a redundant shelter opposite. I asked the council, and my local councillor to rectify this by moving the shelter or erecting a new one. The council told me it would be too expensive, my local councillor just ignored my e-mail so he won't get my vote next time! So we get wet. In case you are wondering why not wait in the shelter and cross over when the bus is coming, just uphill from here is a blind bend which traffic including buses, thunder around, so not a safe option.
