Traeth yr Aes
Monknash, The Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales, UK
Once known as Traeth yr Aes, Monknash is a beach of mostly rocks, rockpools and wave cut shore platforms. The cliffs are blue lias and very unstable.
In 2014 skeletal legs were found poking out of the cliff face. The remains are around 800 years old and it's believed the area was used as a burial ground for the monks who occupied the area in the 13th century.
