Ouch. Somebody wasn't paying attention.
There were no skid marks on the street where this car was. Various conjectures about the driver's inattentiveness range from dealing with a spilled cup of coffee to texting on her phone. I watched the car hurtling toward us and there is no way that person could actually be looking out the front window--something most drivers should try to do once in a while. The car did not swerve or dive (from braking) at all. It just plowed into us a full speed. I heard she hurt her ankle. You can see the air bags in the picture. They probably saved her life.
