My heart gets heavy

My soul seems so weak

And my mind starts to race

And I cannot speak

My character’s tarnished

A spirit’s that’s stained

I show no expression

I feel so ashamed

Over and over I make this mistake

Internalize failures day after day

It cuts me down, runs me ‘round but this fact remains

It’s what I must face

I grow resentful as haters pass by

The frustration’s looming and I know just why

My judgment’s all clouded

It used to be clear

I despise my position but I can’t move from here

Regret past decisions day after day

That brings me down, keeps me down but this fact remains

And some circumstances can render pain

Well I hate being jealous while they’re all so selfish

As if I had something to gain or if they had someone to shame
