Dezalk was a member of the matoran resistance on Voya-Nui, second in command with Balta, these matoran were strong & hard workers due the dangerous island they were stranded on, the harsh environment made them tougher and resistant, they would need it when darker days came, the Piraka, posing as Toa, enslaving them, the matoran were strong, but the piraka were stronger, the matoran did everything in their power to slow the piraka, freeing their brothers & sisters as much as they could, even risking pranking the piraka and setting up traps, the resistance wouldnt last long, they were desperate for toa heros, until that came, Balta, Dezalk & the rest stood strong, ran & hide when necessary. Dezalk knew his blades best, highly skilled and crafty with them, his skills wernt the only reason the brave red matoran earned his place, his burning courage & strong determination for his home & people he would fight for. the resistance would fall soon enough, the piraka had enough, the piraka sent in a spy to follow the team back, the matoran were quickly caught by a surprise attack, Dezalk died after a brave, but short fierce battle, this powerful matoran would be remember in matoran history, his legend reborn as a stronger Toa

The user and his drones are also protected by a fire wall as a means of defense
