Student Opening Locker at Downtown Campus - BCIT New Media - Theryn Meyer
New Media Design & Web Development student, Tia, is opening her locker on the sixth floor of the Downtown Campus of BCIT.
In the New Media full-time certificate program, students learn how to use various Adobe applications such as Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, and InDesign, and delve into various fields related to New Media Design & Web Development such as online marketing, web communication and copywriting, web coding (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript), and information and navigation systems.
This photo was taken for an Information Architecture assignment where students were learning about the importance of metadata in information architecture. Students were taking various pictures, uploading them to flickr, and giving them the appropriate metadata (title, description, tags, etc)
