218 499-2 I IC 119 "Bodensee" I Bad Grönenbach (9911)
Wie allseits bekannt ist, wurde das InterCity Zugpaar 118/119 "Bodensee" um den Jahreswechsel 2019/20 über Memmingen umgeleitet. Bis Memmingen war der Zug in Doppeltraktion unterwegs, allerdings havarierte 218 469-5 ("Betty Boom") und musste folglich in Memmingen ausrangiert werden. Demtentsprechend war die Verspätung des Zuges beträchtlich, was bei den gut 25 Fotografen bei Bad Grönenbach zu einer gewissen Nervosität führte. Glücklicherweise gelang dann doch diese Aufnahme des IC 119, gezogen von der schönen und sauberen 218 499-2.
From the end of December 2019 until the middle of January 2020, both InterCity 118 and 119 "Bodensee" (= Lake Constance) were redirected from Stuttgart to Innsbruck via Memmingen in Bavaria. Unfortunately, 218 469-5 ("Betty Boom") had severe engine problems and thus had to be taken out of the train in Memmingen. Consequently, the train was tremendously delayed and the question arose whether a picture before sunset would be possible. In the end a group of approximately 25 photographers were quite happy when the beautiful and clean 218 499-2 came along.
