68011 passes Kings Sutton on 22nd July 2022
Having spent too much of my life at Kings Sutton station, with a break in trains I decided to venture to the crossing to the north of the station to see what views might be had. I have attempted this footpath across the fields twice before but it has been impassable due to waterlogging. However, post-heatwave seemed a good time for an attempt.
Despite the considerable time that I have spent in the area, I had never happened upon 68011. A quick lookup on the day showed that it was booked on the evening Marylebone – Oxford service and I toyed with the idea of going for a shot at Bicester and then decided that I couldn't be bothered.
So imagine my surprise when it appeared on the 1K54 18:15 London Marylebone – Kidderminster ... and then imagine how irritated I would have been if I had gone to Bicester.
