Goody's Family Clothing was a Knoxville, Tennessee-based retailer that was liquidated in 2009 due to both debt incurred from a 2006 leveraged buyout and the economic climate caused by the Great Recession.

 

During Goody's bankruptcy auction in July 2009, Stage Stores acquired the Goody's name along with a number of their leases.
