Barely a month into its contract change and butchery, this is now under the control of a recent merger taking older hybrids along. | London Transit RATP Dev ADL Enviro 400H on the 414 to Putney Bridge.

Quite a lot has happened with the 414 over the last month. Not only did it transfer to Tower Transit from their Westbourne Park (X) base, it was also butchered considerably from Maida Hill, The Chippenham to Marble Arch. Why this was ever a good idea is baffling and generally, when routes are cut like this, they don't last long. Give it 18 months and it'll be on the chopping block unless it's extended to Kingston Vale or Richmond.

RATP Group has since merged with Tower Transit's western division and renamed it to London Transit RATP Dev as a result. So while the exterior logos and seats haven't changed, some vehicle codes already have.

Even with the 414 as short as it is now, they've struggled initially - a fair bit of bunching up but they do seem to be getting a bit better. Allocation is now E400 hybrids that used to be on the 23 not that long ago but have made way for electrics. Still hard to believe that in the space of four years, they've gone from Liverpool Street to the north end of Putney.

SN12AUA (DNH39131) is at Knightsbridge Station/Harrods on a late afternoon run to Putney Bridge.
