Small bus to fit a small route with only eleven journeys per week and set for huge changes with numbering and structure next year. | Go-Ahead London Wrightbus Streetlite WF working the W10 to Crews Hill.

At four miles, the W10 is a tiny route that serve the back roads of Enfield before heading uphill to the country lanes to the Forty Hill park. It’s mostly Hail & Ride so a full ride will only take fifteen minutes.

The route has another H&R stint through residential areas and another section of narrow country lanes with trees enclosing the road. A single Streetdeck WF from Northumberland Park (NP) is used and it does the job but today’s unit had very loud cooling fans.

From next year, this will undergo some huge changes; the introduction of Sunday services, doubling of frequencies, a long extension to North Middlesex Hospital via Winchmore Hill and the renumbering to 456. The allocation will be the ex-192 Streetlite WFs.

More chances to explore the northern areas, the better.

SK17HHF (WS80) is at Enfield Town Station on a short run to Crews Hill via Forty Hill and Clay Hill.
