roses in January..
So it's the middle of January, and roses are still blooming along the patio fence. Such is winter in Southeast Texas. They may make it all the way to spring without a break. Then again, they may just as easily get hit with a week of below freezing weather - followed by a week of t-shirt and shorts weather.. And back again.
The weather here ebbs and flows with the bends and twists of the jet stream that crawls back and forth across the continent like an anaconda curling and uncurling from west to east.
Our weather is unpredictable, but at least we know that no matter how good or bad the weather may be, it won't last. So we learn to roll with the punches, and take advantage of the good weather when we have it, because it won't last.
