Well.. I'm committed now!
I decided to go the risky route, and pour plaster into the plaster mold. Except I think I skipped a step, and will probably have a hard time separating sculpture from mold. I may not even be able to at all, but too late.. I'm committed.
I did use a specialty plaster that's supposed to be "5X stronger than ordinary plaster", so I'm hoping if I can make myself wait till it's FULLY cured, the old plaster of Paris will break away, leaving whatever is inside more or less complete.
I just decided that a plastic casting wasn't going to be what I wanted anyway, and in a fit of impatience, mixed and poured before indecision caught up with me again..
